As you might realize I’ve been following Los Petardos! for quite a while it’s the first time i get involved completely in the visual aspect of a particular band from it’s very beginnings. So you may imagine how good it is to see that they are doing well and that they finally released a batch of songs that are really stunning and a live show that can make you shake the fleas out of your bones. This time prove no different, they took their music into the vowels of San Juan, to face the fierce metropolitan crowds. The show was completed with an offline video premiere for those present. Online premiere will follow soon more details on that later.

My second day here in the city. I feel that sometimes you have to keep shooting and put yourself out of a comfortable situation in order to practice and feel loose when doing your craft. A fine example was today’s show Ed Kowalzyk Lead singer from LIVE performed his recent solo effort to a crowd of 500 individuals who braved the 100+ degree heat in exchange of an awesome show full of surprises and memories.

I entered the venue camera in hand as another fan i even got thrown out of the media catwalk. Shit happens i wasn’t accredited or shooting on assignment for anyone at this time so it was understandable. So i grabbed my 70-200 and fired away needless to say i felt really comfortable at the distance since the media pit was kinda like a joke honestly and felt a bit constraining, so I fired up the big guns, i shot like 400 shots and made a cool cut of about 30 of what i feel were the best takes of the show. needless to say the sound was top and the band seemed well rehearsed and enthusiastic ether when playing old classics as well as playing Ed’s new tunes of his latest effort Alive which are now available through the itunes store.
